Work great. Lightweight. Great Leverage.Jul 18, 2008 I've had these for a month or so. Lopped off some big (3") limbs with ease. Small stuff (2" and less) is a breeze. You'd have to be pretty pathetic physical shape not to be able to cut <2" limbs.
Blade is easily replaceable (two bolts), but a file or grinding stone will probably keep it in tip top sharpness for many years.
Lightweight and easy to use. Highly recommended.
All Fiskars products have Lifetime Guarantees and I've recently exchanged one of their hand pruners (damaged trying to cut limbs than needed a lopper) with no questions asked.
Buy these. You won't regret it.
I doubt I'll ever buy another garden tool without the Fiskar's name on it.
GREAT TOOL !!!Jul 18, 2008 We love these loppers. This was actually a replacement for a lost pair. We couldn't live without them. Great product and wonderful customer service. Thanks !!

PowerGear feature makes pruning trees extremely difficultJul 13, 2008 The PowerGear feature is this product's achilles heel, which can make cutting larger branches (say 1-inch or more) very difficult or impossible. PowerGear works by using a reduction gear near the blade. This means you have to open the handles much, much wider than other loppers. For example, to cut a 2-inch branch the handles need to be opened literally 180 degrees apart, i.e. all the way open. This means pruning a branch that is in close proximity to other branches (the usual case) just isn't going to happen. I will say the price is good and the blade seems very sharp and durable. In my experience however, this simply is not a tool for serious pruning. At this point I will have to buy a traditional loopper to maintain the trees in my yard.
Excellent LoppersJul 06, 2008 These loppers cut cleanly and are easy to use. Would definitely buy them again.
90 degree lopperJun 02, 2008 The lopper works great at cutting easily and quickly, but I have a bad back and I have to bend over and put the lopper parallel to the ground in order to cut brush off close to the ground and not leave a pointed stake. Why don't they make a lopper with the cutting edge at a 90 degree angle from the handles so the user could remain upright yet make a smooth cut close the the ground?
